A collection of archival documents reflecting the anti-Soviet national movement has been published on the National Archives of Georgia’s website.
Significant and diverse materials related to this historical event are preserved in the fonds of the National Archives of Georgia. The archival documents depict various forms of the anti-Soviet national movement (local uprisings, peaceful demonstrations, appeals to the international community, etc.), the role of Georgia's émigré government in this movement, the stages of preparation for the 1924 uprising, the failure of the uprising, and the subsequent wave of repressions.
It is particularly noteworthy that the archival materials provide information on the scale of the repressions carried out by the Soviet authorities and highlight the uprising's role in the Georgian national movement.
