The program combines the biographical data of more than 15,000 people in the literacy community from its founding until its liquidation, in 1879-1927.
With the establishment of the Society for Spreading Literacy among Georgians, a national education system was established in Georgia: dozens of schools, libraries and cultural and educational institutions were opened. The community provided support to Georgian writers and public figures, pupils and students.
The electronic catalog was prepared according to the fonds of the National Archives of Georgia and the materials of the National Library of Georgia.
