The students of the 30th public school of Tbilisi visited the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The 10th and 11th grade students and their teachers were interested in the specifics of the archive's work and got to know the heritage preserved in the National Archives – ancient manuscripts and archival documents. They visited the Audio-Visual and Film Archives, listened to unique sound recordings, saw fragments from archival film documents, got acquainted with the work of restorers in the documents’ restoration and microfilming laboratory. The restoration of damaged paper-based documents and the conservation-restoration process of documents on parchment aroused great interest among the students. They visited the current exhibition "Georgia and the United States. History of Diplomatic Relations " in the exhibition pavilion.
