The National Archive of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia has summarized the projects of 2021. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Mr. Buba Lomuashvili. The General Director of the National Archives Teona Iashvili introduced to the audience the results of one year of activity. In 2021, a 3-year strategy for the development of the National Archives was developed. The National Archival Fonds were replenished with new material; New normative acts were prepared; Up to 16 thousand certificates were issued to citizens; The reading hall served 1056 researchers; The 12th century manuscript, which is preserved in the St. George Church of Lakhamuli Community, was restored; up to 17 thousand sheets of archival material were also restored; digital versions of thousands of originals of the archival documents were made for a better protection and increased access; Work was in progress on the electronic archiving system and standards; Numerous scientific projects were implemented, new publications and exhibitions were prepared; Three electronic catalogs were developed; The National Archives Cinema Hall has hosted numerous screenings; In cooperation with the company "Gepra" and calligrapher Davit Maisuradze, three fonts of the Georgian alphabet were created; 5 virtual exhibitions, 10 multimedia pages and 15 collections were posted on the National Archives website and Facebook page; A new building of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Archive was opened in Akhaltsikhe.
Deputy Minister of Justice Buba Lomuashvili and Director of the National Archives Teona Iashvili awarded the staff of the National Archives with certificates of appreciation for their hard work and high professionalism, also two of them were awarded the honorary title of Honored Employee of the National Archives.
