Because of the Constitution Day the documents, preserved at the National Archives of Georgia, were exhibited at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. The originals of the Constitutions of 1921 and 1995, as well as the historical documents and the photos, connected with this subject, were presented at the exposition. The event was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Justice.
Together with the Constitution, adopted by the Constituent Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Georgia on February 21, 1921, the materials reflecting the working process on the document of the supreme judicial force was also presented at the exhibition; in particular, the protocols of the constitutional meetings of the Parliament of Georgia, the joint protocol of the presidium and the constitutional commission of the Constituent Assembly, discussion rule of Constitution, the members of the constitutional commission, etc.
Together with the century ago material the documents, dated back with the 20th century were also exhibited – material depicting the working process on the Constitution of 1995, the resolution of Parliament on the creation of the State Constitutional commission, stenographical records of the Parliament session of August 24, 1995 and the photos depicting the ceremonial signing on the Constitution of 1995.
The Constitution Day in Georgia is celebrated on August 24. On August 24, 1995 the members of Parliament of that period adopted the supreme law of the country.
