"The Documents’ Restoration Laboratory was opened in the central archive of Kutaisi, which is practically a unique method of working with documents. In particular, I mean the basic paper documents and their restoration, which will ultimately preserve the history even more safely for our future generations,, - said Minister of Justice of Georgia Rati Bregadze speaking about the activities of the National Archives and the planned projects. The minister noted the importance of the National Archives and the maximum support from the Ministry of Justice.

 The minister also mentioned the increased infrastructure of the archive. According to him, in 2023, the construction of the Shida Kartli regional archive in Gori will begin, and working on the Mtskheta-Mtianeti archive project will be completed; its construction should begin in 2024.
