Exhibition of the documents, preserved at the National Archives of Georgia, was opened at Holy Trinity Cathedral Youth Center dedicated to the Orthodox festival and the day of approval of the autocephaly. Exposition was attended by the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II and other clerics, who were acquainted with the content of the exhibition by Teona Iashvili, general director of the National Archives.
The following documents are presented at the exposition: The Gospel, called “Anbandidi” (9th century); hymns with old musical note signs (9th – 10th centuries); Ancha Gospel (12th century); Davitni (12th century); will of David Aghmashenebeli issued to Shio mGhvime monastery (1123), etc.
Besides the written documents, the photos of illuminated ecclesiastical manuscripts and the approval of the autocephaly of the Georgian Orthodox Church are presented at the exhibition.
