Exhibition of works of painter Merab Abramishvili was opened at the Exhibition Pavilion of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The exhibition features about 70 graphics and paintings by the artist, stored in the Merab Abramishvili family collection.
Visitors of the exhibition will see the sketch of one of Merab Abramishvili's paintings "Paris" for the first time .
Merab Abramishvili (1957-2006) is a distinguished representative of contemporary Georgian art. The artist's elaborate technique and applied texture made his paintings extraordinary. His work has gained international recognition.
The works of the Georgian artist have repeatedly attracted the attention of art lovers at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions. In 2013-2014, his work was featured at the Sotheby's London Auction House at the "Crossroads".
The artist's works are kept in private collections in Georgia and abroad.
The exhibition will last til May 1. Attendance is free.
