General Director of the State Archives of Poland, Wladyslaw Stepniak and the deputy director, Andrzej Biernat paid a visit to the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
During the meeting with Teona Iashvili, General Director of the National Archives of Georgia, the guests discussed the plans of the future cooperation.
“We have already held four exhibitions together with the State Archives of Poland. Today we decided to organize one more joint exhibition about the First World War in Warsaw next year”, - mentioned Teona Iashvili after the meeting.
Wladyslaw Stepniak: “I want to express my satisfaction because of the active and fertile cooperation of the archives. I’m sure we’ll implement several interesting joint events”.
The guests inspected the exposition, specially prepared for the visit. Written materials connected with the Poland, preserved at the National Archives of Georgia were presented at the exhibition. Among them the oldest are the Polish documents of Kirion II. The members of the delegation also watched the collage of the film documents depicting the Georgian-Polish relations at the film hall and acquainted with the work of the Laboratory of Restoration.
Inspection of Tbilisi Public Service Hall and a meeting at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia is planned during the visit.
The visit of the Polish delegation to Georgia will end on November 19.
