Project “The First Republic of Georgia” of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia began. The employees of the National Archives are making the presentations on the subject of the First Republic at the schools of Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Rustavi involved in the project.

32 schools are involved in the project. The project consist the presentations and the stages of competitions. After the presentations about the history of 1918-1921 will be finished at the schools, the groups for the competition will be created from the pupils of the 7^th-11^th forms that will compete each other during the competition planned at the National Archives in May. The winners will be chosen in two nominations: “The Best Group” and “The Best Player” and will be rewarded with different prizes and deeds.

Educational project “The First Republic of Georgia” was founded in 2015. The event caused the great interest of the society. That’s why it was decided that in 2015/2016 academic year the event should broaden and the schools of Mtskheta and Rustavi were involved together with Tbilisi schools.

The National Archives of Georgia is rich with written documents, photos and film documents depicting the history of the First Republic. Educational project aims to cause the interest of the pupils with the history of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia.
